NO Pricks Collection
Let's recognize the power of saying 'No'.
Too late in life are we taught that no is a complete sentence.
Speaking from my own personal experiences, it wasn't until I was almost 18 years old that I first said no and experienced the thrill of being in control.
I still so clearly remember the fear I felt that drove me to repeat that one word over and over. I was accused of being rude and pestered relentlessly by abusive authority. They bent and crumbled, trying to coax me into 'giving them a chance', and had to reluctantly slink away when I didn't falter.
The brief interaction felt like it lasted a lifetime, and I still remember it so clearly. I was surrounded by peers, all confused by the interaction. At the end, I remember the whirlwind of emotion I felt. My stomach had twisted and turned into knots and my entire body was shaking as I frantically sent a text to a person I trusted.
But as I replayed that conversation over and over in my mind, the instinctual fear subsided. I had begun realising that I had just ​watched their control over me slip away. For the first time in all my life: I was in control. That word gave me the ounce of power I needed, at the time and further inspired me to disregard the place that was hurting me - not helping me.
No more abuse, no more harassment, no more pricks in my life.
And so, allow me to introduce you to our NO Pricks Collection.
These colourful, (mostly) cactus themed accessories were made to serve as a reminder that we deserve more than we think.
We deserve nice things. We deserve loving and supportive people in our life. We deserve our boundaries to be respected. We deserve cats - we can't forget those.
And above all, we deserve to be able to say NO.

This keyring is handcrafted from epoxy resin and is available in 9 colours. Each cactus pendant has a generous amount of glitter for a touch of sparkle.

Sometimes, no just isn't enough to some pricks (believe me, I've tried). Sometimes you just have to say FU, turn around and keep on being your amazing self.

Sometimes, 'pricks' are the people you love - or in some cases, loved. The people who you once called friends or family. Who once cared, but were taken into the dark side of greed and pride.

Sometimes it takes having to reflect on the times that you were ignored, that your boundaries were crossed and you were used for you to see the truth.
​
Sometimes you have to let them go, and say With Love, FU.
Thank you for reading a chapter of my story. It was hard to find the words to detail such a dark time in my life, but it feels cathartic to be able to share it at last. I hope it was able to resonate with you, inspire you or give you hope for the better days to come.
