When first designing our Boogeyman charms, we knew we had to make them as cute and admittedly booger-like as possible. While the legend has mildly disturbing origins, we know our necklaces don’t have to! Each necklace is individually handcrafted from polymer clay and is attached to a silver chain.
Boogeyman Necklace
The Boogeyman is a classic – it’s very unlikely someone hasn’t heard of it. While its exact origins are unknown, many believe it originated in Scotland and some believe as early as the 16th Century. Something I like about the Boogeyman is that it has many interpretations. Some believe that the Boogeyman simply haunts children in their dreams, while others claimed that it would come and capture misbehaving children in the night.
While the latter interpretation sounds terrifying, I promise our Boogeyman necklaces are not! Our Boogeymen (is that the plural of Boogeyman?) are cute, comical and most certainly boogey-coloured! Each booger- sorry, Boogeyman, is individually handcrafted from polymer clay.
