Pride Skull Earrings - Genders
Whenever I’m asked what my favourite holiday is, it is always the spooky season. Halloween is the perfect opportunity to indulge in scary stories until 2am – which we always regret – and wear our most spooktacular accessories. Pull out your pumpkins, sit your skeletons at your dining table and whack on your witch’s hat because the spooky season is among us!
However, something queer is afoot this spooky season. We took over twenty pride flag designs and recreated them with colourful howlite synthetic skull beads. These designs are presently displayed in silver but we can also create these earrings in gold. We also offer customisation to the earring hooks: traditional earring hooks or closed lever back earrings.
We have a choice of traditional earring hooks, leverback earring hooks, clip on earrings and screw on earrings. Clip on and screw on earrings are ideal for people who do not have their ears pierced! If you’re not sure which earring hook is which, we have a reference picture of all earring hooks available. Traditional earring hooks are at the top, followed by leverback earring hooks, etc. We also have traditional earring hooks available in Sterling Silver, Pure Gold and Acrylic for sensitive ears.
Due to limited colour availability, we hand paint white skulls and to ensure we can include all our flags. This means we hand paint our grey and dark green beads, which are used in many of our aspect orientated flags and our agender flag earrings. After they are painted, they are glazed to match the glossy appearance of the other beads. Glazing them also keeps the paint from chipping and gets rid of the scratchy texture, leaving the surface smooth to touch.
In this category, we have six flags: the transgender flag, the nonbinary flag, the genderqueer flag, the genderfluid flag, the agender flag and the intersex flag. We understand that being transgender isn’t a gender on its own, but being transgender is important to recognise and support. We also understand that some intersex people do not consider themselves to be a part of the LGBTQ+ community, however, we believe that it’s important for people to be proud and comfortable in their identities, LGBTQ+ or not.
